Description
The Schmidt & Bender 1-8×24 PM II ShortDot Dual CC MDR (Article No. 683-811-44E-K1-H1) is one of the most advanced LPVO (Low Power Variable Optic) designs from Schmidt & Bender, integrating both a high-visibility red dot and a detailed MDR tactical reticle in one sighting system. At 1× magnification, the patented Close-Combat mode (CC mode) provides true parallax-free aiming at very close ranges (≈ 7 m), ideal for rapid target acquisition in dynamic scenarios, while higher magnification delivers precise aiming and hold-over data up to mid-range.
This optic’s dual focal plane layout uses a FlashDot in the Second Focal Plane (SFP) for the red dot and the MDR reticle in the First Focal Plane (FFP) so that subtensions are accurate at all magnification levels. The generous exit pupil and eye relief make it fast and intuitive for both CQB and precision engagements across the zoom range. Rugged construction, lockable low-profile turrets, and reliable performance in harsh conditions make this sight suitable for professional tactical use.
