The Redding 68135 set is built for the reloader who wants to tailor their ammunition to a specific rifle. Because the .270 Winchester is a high-pressure cartridge with a relatively long case, brass “flow” into the neck area can be an issue. The Carbide Expander solves this by providing a low-friction exit, while the choice between Full-Length and Neck sizing allows you to manage headspace perfectly.

The Micrometer Seating Die is the centerpiece of the set. If you switch from a 130gr sleek hunting bullet to a heavy 150gr long-range projectile, you can simply record the micrometer setting for each and return to them instantly without the “guess and check” method required by standard dies.

Full-Length Sizing Die: Features a Carbide Expander Button. The free-floating carbide button is ultra-hard and slick, meaning it won’t “drag” or “pull” on the case neck during the upstroke. This keeps the necks straight and significantly reduces case stretching.

Neck Sizing Die: Resizes only the neck of the brass. This is the “accuracy hack” for bolt-action rifles; it leaves the case body fire-formed to your specific chamber, which improves concentricity and extends the life of your brass by not over-working the metal.

Premium Seating Die: Includes a Micrometer Adjuster. This allows you to make precise, repeatable seating depth changes in .001″ increments. It’s perfect for finding the “sweet spot” distance from the rifling for different bullets.
