Description
A heat-treated steel shell holder designed for the .45-70 Government and .33 Winchester families. Precision-ground to ensure a perfectly square base, it is compatible with all standard “snap-in” style reloading presses.
The Redding #8 shell holder is built to withstand the significant pressures involved in resizing large-capacity rifle cases. While many manufacturers use a “one-size-fits-most” approach, Redding maintains tighter tolerances in the internal “slot” where the case rim sits. This ensures that the case remains perfectly vertical as it enters the die, which is critical for maintaining concentricity and preventing uneven shoulder bumping.
The holder is finished with a durable black oxide coating to prevent corrosion and features a knurled outer ring for easy installation and removal from the press ram. Its “universal” snap-in design allows it to be used not only on Redding presses but also on RCBS, Hornady, and Lee models.
