The .300 Win Mag is a high-pressure cartridge where brass life and bullet alignment are paramount. This set uses a specialized three-step approach to minimize work-hardening of the brass and eliminate bullet runout:

Type S Competition Bushing Neck Die: This die uses interchangeable bushings (sold separately) to set the exact neck tension required for your specific brass. It features a micrometer head to control the length of the neck being sized and a sliding alignment sleeve that centers the case perfectly before it contacts the bushing.

Body Die: Because the neck die does not touch the shoulder or the body, the Body Die is included to “bump” the shoulder back and resize the case body when chambering becomes tight. This is especially important for the .300 Win Mag, which can stretch significantly just above the belt.

Competition Seating Die: This die features a micrometer head graduated in $0.001″$ increments for surgical control over bullet seating depth. Its internal sliding alignment sleeve captures both the bullet and the case neck in perfect alignment before seating, virtually eliminating the “wobble” that ruins long-range groups. Note: This die does not crimp.
