The Katadyn is a high-performance ceramic replacement element designed specifically for the Katadyn Combi series. Utilizing a 0.2-micron ceramic depth filter, it eliminates 99.9999% of bacteria (such as Klebsiella terrigena) and 99.9% of protozoan cysts (including Giardia and Cryptosporidium). The ceramic is impregnated with silver to inhibit bacterial growth within the filter structure between uses.
