Description

The Steyr Arms GAMS rifle combines advanced materials with classic hunting rifle ergonomics. A high-tech carbon thumbhole stock makes the rifle exceptionally light (around ~2.4 kg) for extended carry in alpine or rugged terrain, while maintaining strength and stability for accurate shooting. The rifle is available in .223 Rem with a 485 mm cold-hammer-forged barrel, offering consistent ballistics and controllability.

A detachable magazine is paired with a selectable 2-stage or forward-set trigger, and the rifle may be specified with a direct trigger and PVD-finished bolt depending on configuration. The muzzle is threaded (in this case 1/2-28 UNEF) to allow fitting of brakes or suppressors. The GAMS system emphasizes rugged service life and adaptable hunting capability across varied conditions.
