Description

The Steyr AUG A3 SA SE is a civilian semi-automatic rifle derived from the legendary AUG platform produced by Steyr Arms. The rifle uses the distinctive bullpup configuration, where the action and magazine are positioned behind the trigger. This design allows the rifle to maintain a full-length barrel while keeping the overall length compact, improving maneuverability without sacrificing ballistic performance.

Chambered in .223 Remington / 5.56×45 mm, the rifle features a 417 mm cold hammer-forged barrel designed for durability and consistent accuracy. The AUG platform operates using a gas-operated system with a rotating bolt, ensuring reliable function under a wide range of operating conditions.

The SE (Special Edition) differs from the standard AUG A3 SA configuration by replacing the top Picatinny rail with a carrying handle that incorporates an optical sight.
