The STEYR CL II is the successor to the legendary STEYR Classic, built around the S.B.S. (Safe Bolt System) and a two‑plus‑one position safety for secure handling. The rifle combines traditional European craftsmanship such as a Bavarian cheekpiece and fish‑scale checkering with modern precision engineering for consistent accuracy and smooth operation.

The Steyr CL II (.222 Rem / 508SV) is built for the purist hunter. The 508 mm barrel is produced using Steyr’s proprietary cold-hammer-forging process, visible in the signature spiral “hammer marks” on the exterior, ensuring exceptional barrel life and cold-bore accuracy. This configuration includes factory open sights, allowing for fast target acquisition at close ranges or as a backup to primary optics.

The rifle’s mechanical heart is the Safe Bolt System (SBS). This system features a 3-position rotary safety and a unique bolt design that can be locked flush against the stock for a snag-free profile during transport. The Combi-Trigger provides a dual-mode experience: a crisp, standard hunting pull that can be pushed forward to engage a “hair trigger” for precision shots at longer distances.
