The Steyr CL II SX Mountain is a rugged, bolt-action rifle chambered in .223 Remington. It features a 508 mm (20″) cold-hammer-forged barrel with open sights, a combi-trigger, and a weather-proof SX synthetic stock with aluminum bedding for maximum stability and sub-MOA precision.
Description
The Steyr CL II SX is built for the professional stalker who demands a “workhorse” rifle. The SX stock is a monolithic construction where an aluminum bedding block is integrated into high-tech synthetics and soft-touch polymer inlays. This ensures the action remains perfectly seated regardless of temperature or humidity, while the soft-touch panels provide a secure grip in wet or freezing conditions.
This specific model uses a 508 mm Mountain barrel, which reduces the overall weight and length for better maneuverability in thick brush. It is equipped with steel open sights, making it ideal for driven hunts or as a robust backup system. The rifle features the Safe Bolt System (SBS) with its 3-position roller safety and the Combi-Trigger, which allows the shooter to push the blade forward to engage a light “set” trigger for precision long-range work.
