Description

The AUG A3 Z QCB SR 70 is part of the modern AUG A3 Z rifle family produced by Steyr Arms. The AUG platform uses a bullpup configuration, where the action and magazine are located behind the trigger group. This layout allows the rifle to maintain a full-length barrel while keeping the overall weapon short and well balanced.

The rifle operates using a gas-operated short-stroke piston system with a rotating bolt, designed for reliability under demanding conditions. Like other AUG models, it features a quick-change barrel (QCB) system, allowing the barrel to be removed and replaced quickly without tools.

The SR (Special Receiver) configuration integrates a 3× optical sight with a Mildot reticle into the carrying-handle style receiver. This optic group provides moderate magnification for improved target identification and precision while preserving the classic AUG silhouette. Modern AUG receivers can be configured with 1.5× or 3× integrated optics or Picatinny rails for external optics.
