The Caldwell CrossWind Professional Wind Meter was developed to help shooters accurately evaluate environmental conditions that affect bullet trajectory. The device features a 90-degree rotating anemometer head, allowing users to measure crosswind directly without repositioning the meter or performing angle calculations.

This handheld wind meter provides multiple readings important for ballistic calculations, including current wind speed, average wind speed, maximum wind gust, temperature, barometric pressure, altitude, and density altitude. These measurements help shooters determine how environmental conditions may influence bullet drop and drift.

The meter is designed for field use and includes water-resistant construction, an LCD backlight for low-light visibility, large glove-friendly buttons, and an automatic power-off feature to conserve battery life.
