The Allen Sound Sensor™ Hearing Protector (Model 2324) was developed to provide lightweight and practical hearing protection for shooters and outdoor enthusiasts. The headset uses a sound-sensor design that filters damaging sound frequencies produced by gunfire while still allowing the user to hear conversation and environmental sounds more clearly.

Weighing only 1.7 ounces, the hearing protector is extremely lightweight and comfortable for extended use. The adjustable headband ensures a secure fit, while the compact folding design allows the unit to collapse to approximately 5.75 × 2.5 inches, making it easy to carry in a pocket or range bag.

The hearing protector provides a Noise Reduction Rating (NRR) of 26 dB, helping protect hearing from harmful noise exposure while maintaining situational awareness. This made the device suitable for shooting ranges, hunting environments, and other loud outdoor activities.
