Description

The Steyr AUG A3 Z QCB LR SWAT is part of the modern AUG rifle family produced by Steyr Arms. The rifle uses the bullpup design, where the action and magazine are located behind the trigger, allowing a full-length barrel in a compact overall weapon length while maintaining balance and maneuverability.

This variant operates using a gas-operated short-stroke piston system with a rotating bolt, known for reliability in demanding environments. The AUG platform includes a quick-change barrel system, enabling rapid barrel removal and replacement without tools.

The QCB LR (Quick Change Barrel – Long Rail) configuration includes an extended Picatinny rail system, allowing users to mount optics, night-vision devices, lasers, or other accessories. The SWAT configuration features additional rail space and an ergonomic forward grip for tactical applications.

This model uses a 417 mm (16.4-inch) cold hammer-forged barrel chambered in .223 Remington / 5.56×45 NATO, providing a good balance between compactness and ballistic performance. The rifle feeds from detachable polymer AUG magazines, typically available in 30- or 42-round capacities.
