The new Cogswell & Harrison “Certus” rimfire represents a significant evolution for London’s oldest surviving gun maker. Chambered in .22LR (with a 16″ rate of twist), the Certus is designed for both precision target shooting and small-game hunting. The rifle features a robust blued action and a 20-inch barrel that comes factory-threaded (1/2″ UNF) to accommodate a sound moderator.

The receiver is machined with standard 3/8″ dovetail grooves for easy scope mounting. Every new Certus owner is eligible to apply for a “Certificate of Authenticity,” which registers the rifle in the historic Cogswell & Harrison archives—an archive that dates back to 1770—ensuring the firearm’s provenance for future generations.
