The Nielsen Specialty Ammo 142-grain .357 slug is a custom-engineered projectile designed for shooters who need a balance between high velocity and heavy knockdown power. These slugs are cold-swaged from soft lead, ensuring absolute uniformity in weight and density, which eliminates the flight-destabilizing air pockets found in cast bullets.

This slug has recently undergone a design update to transition from a dish base to a flat base (though custom boat tail versions exist in specific runs), maintaining a similar nose profile to ensure consistent barrel harmonics. The large hollow point nose provides excellent expansion for effective and responsible hunting. Extensively tested in the Benjamin Bulldog and AirForce Texan, this slug has shown stellar results at 100 yards and beyond.
