Description

The Steyr Arms STM 556 Z (Cal. .223 Rem / 5.56) is part of Steyr Arms’ semi-automatic rifle family that borrows design cues from the renowned AUG assault rifle while using a more conventional AR-style layout. The rifle combines a rugged short-stroke gas piston system with a quick-detachable barrel system, allowing users to change barrels without tools and adapt the rifle for different mission profiles or shooting scenarios.

Built around a monolithic upper receiver, the rifle provides increased rigidity and alignment for optics and accessory rails. It incorporates ambidextrous controls, dry lubrication system for reliable performance in challenging conditions, and a fully adjustable synthetic stock with six-position length-of-pull adjustment. The 417 mm barrel balances handling with ballistic performance, and the rifle uses standard AR-15/M4 magazines with a ten-round capacity.
