Description

The Steyr AUG A3 SA is a modern development of the iconic AUG rifle platform produced by Steyr Arms. Designed around the proven bullpup configuration, the rifle positions the action and magazine behind the trigger, enabling a compact overall length without reducing barrel length or accuracy.

Chambered in .223 Remington / 5.56×45 NATO, the rifle uses a 417 mm cold hammer-forged barrel with chrome-lined bore and chamber for durability and consistent precision. The barrel is interchangeable and includes a gas regulator to maintain reliable function under various operating conditions.

The rifle operates with a gas-operated system and a rotary bolt with seven locking lugs, providing reliable cycling and secure locking. A detachable transparent polymer magazine allows quick visual inspection of remaining ammunition, with typical capacities of 9, 30, or 42 rounds depending on configuration.

The synthetic bullpup stock keeps weight low while maintaining durability, and the receiver can be configured with Picatinny accessory rails or integrated optical sights depending on the model version. This modularity allows the AUG A3 platform to be adapted for different operational or sporting requirements.
