The Steyr L9-A2 MF is the “Large” (full-size) variant of the A2 series, engineered for duty, home defense, and competitive shooting. The “MF” designation stands for Modular Frame, a system that allows the shooter to customize the grip using interchangeable backstraps and side panels to fit any hand size.

The L9-A2 MF is defined by its extremely low bore axis, which positions the barrel closer to the shooter’s hand than almost any other pistol on the market, significantly reducing muzzle flip and allowing for rapid follow-up shots. It features Forward Slide Serrations for easy manipulation, a flared magwell for high-speed reloads, and a standard Picatinny rail for tactical lights or lasers. The pistol utilizes the Reset Action System, a smooth, pre-set double-action trigger with a crisp break and a very short reset. Finished with a corrosion-resistant Mannox® coating on the slide and a rugged polymer frame, the L9-A2 MF represents a pinnacle of Austrian firearms engineering.
