The Steyr AUG 42-Round Magazine is the ultimate accessory for the AUG platform, engineered to the same rigorous military standards as the rifle itself. Known colloquially as the “Waffle Mag” due to its distinctive reinforcing ribs, this magazine is molded from a high-strength, impact-resistant translucent polymer. This allows the operator to verify ammunition status at a glance, even when the magazine is inserted into the rifle.

Equipped with a coated steel spring and a high-visibility follower, the 42-round magazine ensures flawless feeding and bolt-hold-open reliability. Originally issued for the HBAR squad automatic variant, it is fully compatible with all standard AUG, AUG A1/A2/A3, and civilian AUG Z models. The black floor plate is easily removable for maintenance, and the extended body provides an additional 12 rounds over the standard 30-round magazine with a negligible impact on the rifle’s center of gravity.
