By utilizing a 508 mm (20 inch) barrel, the rifle achieves a balanced center of gravity and reduced overall weight without compromising the sub-MOA precision Steyr is world-renowned for. This model features the Safe Bolt System (SBS), which includes a 3-position roller safety and a bolt design that ensures total reliability even in freezing or muddy conditions.

The .222 Remington chambering in this platform is optimized for the “Mini” action size, providing a very short and fast bolt throw. The exterior is treated with a plasma-nitrided Mannox® finish, making the steel virtually immune to the moisture and abrasion encountered during mountain stalks. The European Walnut stock is finished with a traditional Bavarian cheek piece and fine checkering, ensuring that while the rifle is a modern tool of precision, it retains the classic aesthetic of an Austrian hunting heirloom.
