The Steyr CL II Fullstock (Ganzschaft) is the ultimate expression of the “modern classic.” It is engineered for the hunter who appreciates the unique balance and “Old World” charm of a full-stock rifle but requires a snag-free, minimalist exterior for use with modern optics. This variant utilizes the specialized Mini Action, specifically scaled to the .223 Remington cartridge to ensure the lightest and most compact footprint possible.

By omitting iron sights at the factory, Steyr provides a clean, unobstructed barrel line that allows for lower scope mounting and a wider field of view. The 20-inch barrel is protected by a premium European Walnut stock that extends to the muzzle, terminated with a classic metal nose cap. Despite being a traditional design, it features the 21st-century Safe Bolt System (SBS) with a 3-position roller safety and a plasma-nitrided Mannox® finish on all metal parts. This ensures that the rifle remains accurate and rust-free, even in the damp, high-altitude environments where “Stutzen” rifles traditionally excel.
