The STEYR SSG M1 (62.253.3KAB) is the ultimate evolution of the SSG platform, combining the durability of the SSG 08 with modern modularity. This configuration is built with a 635 mm (25″) heavy match-grade barrel finished in Steyr’s signature “barley twist” and treated with a matte-black Mannox® coating. The Black M-LOK handguard provides a rigid, free-floating interface for bipods and night vision thermals, while the 30 MOA canted Picatinny rail allows shooters to push the .308 Win cartridge to its maximum ballistic potential. As part of the A2-generation updates for 2026, this model features an improved tool-less adjustable folding stock and an integrated Arca-Swiss rail on the handguard for rapid deployment on tripods. The heart of the rifle is the Safe Bolt System (SBS), which, combined with the professional two-stage trigger, ensures that the SSG M1 remains one of the safest and most accurate tactical rifles on the market.
