The STEYR M9-A2 MF (78.224.2H3) represents the fourth generation of Steyr’s semi-automatic pistol design. Built to exceed the requirements of modern duty and self-defense, the A2 MF series introduces a modular steel chassis inside a polymer frame. This specific model is the “Medium” (M) variant, balancing a full 17-round grip with a versatile 4-inch barrel.

Unique to the 2H3 configuration is the inclusion of the Manual Safety (wmS), providing an additional layer of safety beyond the standard trigger and drop safeties. The pistol features Steyr’s signature Trapezoidal Sights for ultra-fast target acquisition and a grip angle designed to naturally point the barrel for faster follow-up shots. The “MF” designation highlights the modular grip system, which includes three different backstraps and two side-panel sizes to tailor the ergonomics to any hand size. Finished with the diamond-hard Mannox® coating, the M9-A2 MF is nearly impervious to corrosion and mechanical wear.
