The needle is plain (smooth) — without a collar or barb — and is best used when minimal tissue resistance and easy penetration are important. It includes 5 silicone sealing sleeves that help create a tight seal between the needle and the dart syringe, preventing leakage around the needle base when pressurized and ensuring nearly complete delivery of the dart contents.
