REDDING 270 CAL TAPERED SIZE BUTTON – 16276
95.00 د.إ
The Redding 16276 is a tapered expander button specifically for .270 caliber (.277″) cartridges. It replaces the standard “ball” expander with a specialized, elongated taper. This design is intended to reduce “neck-pull” and friction during the resizing stroke, ensuring that the case neck remains concentric with the body of the cartridge for improved accuracy.

Description
During the resizing process, the case neck is squeezed down and then expanded back out as the decapping rod is pulled upward. Standard expanders can often “tweak” the neck out of alignment. The 16276 solves this through mechanical refinement:
Tapered Entry and Exit: The gradual angle of the 16276 allows it to enter the neck with significantly less resistance than a traditional round expander. This prevents the “jerking” motion often felt at the top of the press stroke.
Concentricity Alignment: By providing a smoother expansion, the button reduces the risk of pulling the case shoulder forward or tilting the neck. This results in “straighter” brass with lower runout, which is critical for the long-range potential of the .270 Winchester.
Reduced Brass Stress: The tapered profile minimizes the work-hardening of the brass at the case mouth, which helps prevent neck splitting and extends the overall life of your .270 brass.
Precision Machining: Like all Redding components, this button is made from high-quality tool steel, heat-treated for durability, and polished to a mirror finish to minimize brass galling.
Key Features:
Caliber Specific: Designed exclusively for .270 caliber cartridges (e.g., .270 Winchester, .270 WSM, .270 Weatherby Magnum).
Direct Replacement: Fits standard Redding full-length and neck-sizing decapping rod assemblies.
Improved “Feel”: Provides the reloader with much better tactile feedback during the sizing operation.
