Description

The Steyr AUG A3 SA is a modern development of the iconic AUG rifle family produced by Steyr Arms. The rifle features the distinctive bullpup configuration, where the action and magazine are positioned behind the trigger. This design allows the rifle to maintain a full-length barrel while keeping the overall length compact, improving maneuverability without sacrificing ballistic performance.

Chambered in .223 Remington / 5.56×45 NATO, the AUG A3 SA is equipped with a 417 mm cold hammer-forged barrel with chrome-lined bore and chamber, ensuring durability and consistent accuracy. The barrel is interchangeable and includes a gas regulator to maintain reliable operation under various shooting conditions.

The rifle operates using a gas-operated system with a rotary bolt featuring seven locking lugs, delivering reliable cycling and strong lock-up. A detachable transparent polymer magazine allows shooters to quickly monitor ammunition levels, with capacities commonly available in 9, 30, or 42 rounds.
