The Benchmade 551H20 Griptilian is a water-focused variant of the iconic Griptilian series, created by renowned knife designer Mel Pardue. Engineered for use in marine, rescue, fishing, and humid environments, the knife features premium corrosion-resistant materials and a highly visible handle for easier identification in demanding conditions.

Unlike standard Griptilian models, the 551H20 uses Böhler N680 stainless steel, a premium nitrogen-enriched blade steel selected for its exceptional corrosion resistance, making it especially suitable for saltwater and wet climates. The drop-point blade profile provides versatility for slicing, utility work, rope cutting, and general outdoor tasks.

The knife incorporates Benchmade’s signature AXIS® lock system, allowing smooth ambidextrous operation with reliable lock strength. The dual thumb-stud opening mechanism supports quick one-handed deployment, while the orange Noryl GTX handle scales offer a secure grip and enhanced visibility. A reversible stainless-steel pocket clip allows tip-up carry for both left- and right-handed users.
