Description

The R2 Scout is one of Fallkniven’s most advanced compact knives, engineered for users who require high performance in a smaller format. Despite its size, it delivers the strength and reliability expected from a full-scale survival knife.

The blade is made from Swedish Elmax powder steel, hardened and treated to achieve an optimal balance of hardness (HRC 61–62), toughness, and long-lasting sharpness. This ensures the knife remains reliable even under demanding conditions without becoming brittle.

Its convex edge geometry enhances cutting efficiency and durability, making it suitable for bushcraft, camping, and general outdoor tasks. The Thermorun handle is ergonomically designed to provide a comfortable, non-slip grip in both wet and dry environments.

The knife comes with a Zytel (glass-reinforced nylon) sheath featuring a dual locking system—a spring retention mechanism combined with a manual safety lock—ensuring the knife stays securely in place during movement or inverted carry.
