Description
The SKB 3I-4909-SR-T is part of the legendary iSeries, constructed from ultra-high-strength polypropylene copolymer resin. This material is not only significantly lighter than traditional plastics but is also resistant to UV, solvents, corrosion, and impact. The “SR” (Single Rifle) configuration is specifically tailored for the modern hunter or marksman, providing a slim profile that doesn’t sacrifice security.
The case is completely gasket-sealed, making it 100% waterproof and dust-tight (IP67). To prevent “vacuum lock” caused by changes in altitude or temperature, it features an automatic ambient pressure equalization valve. The interior uses premium convoluted foam to provide a compression fit, which keeps the rifle and expensive optics from shifting without the need for custom foam cutting. For security, the case is equipped with four reinforced stainless-steel padlock protector holes and SKB’s patented “trigger release” latching system, which is TSA-accessible if upgraded with TSA-keyed cylinders.
