This set uses a specialized three-step process to ensure that your ammunition is as concentric and consistent as possible, which is critical for the small, high-velocity .223 Remington:

Type S Competition Bushing Neck Die: This die uses interchangeable bushings (sold separately) to size the case neck. It features a micrometer head for precise adjustment of the sizing length and a sliding alignment sleeve that centers the case before the bushing makes contact. This prevents the neck from being sized “off-center.”

Body Die: Because the neck die does not touch the shoulder or body, the Body Die is included to “bump” the shoulder back (resetting headspace) when the brass becomes difficult to chamber. This allows you to maintain a perfect fit in your rifle without over-working the neck brass.

Competition Seating Die: This die features a micrometer head graduated in $0.001″$ increments for precise bullet jump control. Its internal sliding alignment sleeve captures both the bullet and the case neck, centering them perfectly before seating to virtually eliminate bullet tilt. Note: This die does not crimp.
