Description
The 7mm Remington Magnum is a high-velocity, belted magnum that benefits immensely from the tight tolerances of Redding’s Competition line. This set is engineered to handle the unique requirements of belted brass while providing “zero-tolerance” bullet seating:
Full-Length Sizing Die: Features a polished expander ball and a specialized internal geometry to ensure the belted case is sized precisely. It ensures 100% reliable chambering while maintaining the concentricity required for long-range shots.
Competition Seating Die: This is the heart of the set. It features a micrometer adjustment graduated in $0.001″$ increments, allowing for incredibly precise control over the seating depth (COAL). The sliding alignment sleeve captures and centers both the case and the bullet before seating begins, virtually eliminating bullet tilt and runout. Note: This die does not crimp.
Taper Crimp Die: Included as a separate step to provide a uniform crimp without the risk of buckling the case neck or distorting the bullet. This is particularly important for 7mm Mag rounds used in hunting rifles with heavy recoil.
Key Features:
Category I Precision: Manufactured to the highest standards in the industry, specifically for the 7mm Rem Mag caliber.
Micrometer Repeatability: Easily switch between different bullet profiles (e.g., a 162gr ELD-X vs. a 175gr Partition) and return to your exact settings in seconds.
Sliding Sleeve Technology: Centers the cartridge perfectly, ensuring that the bullet is seated straight into the neck every time.
Standard Compatibility: Uses 7/8″-14 threads, compatible with all standard single-stage, turret, and progressive presses.
