800.00 د.إ
The Redding 55135 is a Competition Pro Series three-die set designed primarily for high-precision reloading on both progressive and single-stage presses. This set is a significant upgrade over standard dies, featuring a Full-Length Sizing Die, a Micrometer Competition Seating Die, and a Taper Crimp Die. It is designed to eliminate variables and produce ammunition with the lowest possible runout (concentricity error).
Description
While the .270 Winchester is traditionally a hunting caliber, many modern shooters use it for long-range precision. This Category I competition set provides the mechanical advantages necessary to maximize the cartridge’s performance:
Full-Length Sizing Die: This die is held to much tighter tolerances than standard dies. It features a specialized decapping rod and a highly polished expander ball to ensure that the case neck is not pulled out of alignment during the sizing stroke, which is vital for the long-column .270 case.
Competition Seating Die: This is the flagship of the set. It utilizes a micrometer head graduated in $0.001″$ increments, allowing you to adjust seating depth with surgical precision. It features a free-floating seating stem and a sliding alignment sleeve that centers the case and bullet perfectly before the seating process begins. Note: This die is for seating only and does not crimp.
Taper Crimp Die: By providing a separate crimping step, this die ensures that the bullet is held securely without the risk of “bulging” the shoulder or distorting the bullet jacket—a common issue when trying to seat and crimp in a single step.
