When a rifle or pistol case is trimmed to length, it leaves behind sharp, jagged edges (burrs) on both the inside and outside of the case mouth. The Redding 09000 is engineered to remove these imperfections with minimal effort:

Internal Chamfering: The pointed end creates a slight bevel on the inside of the neck. This “funnel” effect allows the bullet base to enter the case smoothly without shaving lead or copper off the bullet jacket, which is critical for maintaining bullet weight and balance.

External Deburring: The cupped end removes the sharp outer ridge created by the trimmer. This ensures that the case mouth does not snag on the seating die or the rifle’s chamber, promoting reliable feeding.

The tool is machined from high-quality tool steel and features sharp, long-lasting cutting flutes. The center of the tool is deeply knurled, providing a secure, non-slip grip for manual use, even when your hands are oily from case lubrication.
