Description
The compact Skif Proxy 419 knife with a fluted handle and straight edges that provide a perfect cut will be an excellent choice as a knife for everyday carry.
Most scratches that occur during the operation of the knife become almost invisible on such a blade, unlike a blade polished to a “mirror”. Such a blade does not show traces of careless sharpening. This coating is anti-glare, it does not reflect the sun’s rays and the knife will not give a response to light in the dark, even if a direct beam hits it. Compared to any black anti-corrosion coating against glare, it is much stronger, since during the grinding process the steel is polished using rolling stones with additional grinding materials that give the final surface great strength. Another advantage of this coating is that fingerprints do not remain on the blade, which are certainly noticeable when polished.
Although the blade does not have the same shiny appearance as mirror polishing, it is a very practical coating. Today, all global knife manufacturers necessarily use this coating in the manufacturing process for premium knives.
Well suited for “working” knives that will be used frequently and intensively. The technology is simple – the blades are placed in containers with stones and “washed” at high speeds. The stones peel off the steel, forming a unique pattern on it.
