The rifle’s defining characteristic is the Hand Cocking System (H.C.S.). The tang-mounted slider allows the shooter to manually cock the firing pin spring only when the shot is imminent; it can be instantly de-cocked with a single button press. This allows for the safest possible transport with a round in the chamber. The rifle is completed with a European Walnut stock featuring a Bavarian cheek piece and Steyr’s proprietary Mannox® finish, providing a classic look with modern weather resistance.
